Professors' Fund for Educational Issues

What is PFEI & What does PFEI stand for:

The Professors' Fund For Educational Issues, Inc. (PFEI) is a Sec. 501 (c) (3) corporation established by faculty members for faculty members. It was created in 1990 to provide an opportunity to raise tax-deductible contributions for grants for worthwhile projects developed by members of the professiorate.

You do not have to be an AAUP member to contribute to PFEI; nor do you need to be a member to apply for a grant from PFEI. PFEI has already distributed over $12,000 in grants to support a variety of meetings, workshops, symposia, research projects, tenure and academic freedom issues.
